Each of these self-paced, interactive, professional learning modules help Zones Leaders develop the foundational understanding needed to teach The Zones of Regulation with confidence, integrity, and fidelity.  

It is recommended you work through the following learning modules in order before you begin implementing The Zones of Regulation Digital Curriculum.

Adult Learning Modules

Module A: What is Regulation?

An overview of competency of regulation, including self-regulation, co-regulation, why regulation matters, and the relationship between regulation and social and emotional learning.
Module B: Beyond Behavior: Factors Impacting Regulation

Get curious about what might be underlying a learner’s behavior, including exploration of underlying factors that impact the development of regulation including neurobiological components (sensory processing, executive functioning, emotional regulation, social cognition) in addition to the external/environmental factors (lived experience, culture, sociopolitical factors, access, and relationships).

Module C: What is The Zones of Regulation?

A comprehensive and detailed explanation of The Zones of Regulation framework, its Signature Practices (Categorize Feelings into Zones, Offer Zones Check-Ins, Create Custom Zones Toolboxes, Use the Zones Pathway), and Key Principles to support implementation with fidelity.
Module D: Building the Zones Climate

Discover how to build and nourish regulation in your setting through your actions, which will include putting into place the Essential Elements of a Zones Climate.
