Accessibility Statement

Zones of Regulation® Digital Curriculum
Last updated: June 2025

The Zones of Regulation Digital Curriculum is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible digital experience for all educators and learners, including individuals with disabilities. We are actively working to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and to comply with relevant U.S. accessibility laws, including Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. We also work to align with international accessibility standards including EN 301 549, Accessible Canada Act (ACA), Australia Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), and other regional accessibility requirements.

Accessibility Features

We have taken the following steps to support accessibility:

  • Consistent and semantic heading structure
  • Text alternatives for meaningful non-text content
  • Responsive design with resizable text
  • Keyboard-accessible navigation and forms
  • Color contrast that meets WCAG requirements

We regularly test our platform using both automated tools and manual inspection to identify and resolve accessibility issues.

Current Limitations

While many parts of the platform meet or exceed accessibility standards, some areas are still undergoing improvements:

  • Interactive Presentation modules may not yet support full keyboard navigation or screen reader functionality.
  • PDF documents may not yet be fully tagged for accessibility (e.g., headings, alt text, reading order).

We are actively addressing these issues and prioritizing improvements based on user impact.

Conformance Planning

  • Our platform is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
  • A formal third-party audit is in progress.
  • A Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) and Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) will be available in Fall 2025.

Statement Review

This statement will be reviewed and updated biannually or in response to significant platform changes.
